First Southern Baptist Church’s development request was forwarded to the Paradise Valley Planning Commission on Sept. 28.
Paradise Valley Town Council approved its statement of direction for an intermediate special use permit amendment for the addition of a solar panel system on a new parking lot shade structure at the church.
The shade structure is approximately 5,812 square feet over 26 parking spaces. Similar shade structures can be found in other religious facilities in town such as Temple Solel.
