Paradise Valley PD advises residents to be conscious of water safety

With summer fast approaching, resources available to prevent drownings

Rising temperatures signal the scorching Arizona summer, and with people frequenting pools and other aquatic excursions, Paradise Valley Police Department has provided residents with some helpful advice for navigating water safety.

Whether in a backyard pool or out on the lake, drowning is a real problem that can affect not only children but people of all ages; and this is not just a summer issue. The Paradise Valley Town Manager’s weekly update on April 8 highlighted several near-drowning incidents that have occurred over the past six months. In response to these cases, the Paradise Valley Police Department has pushed for residents to be more informed on proper water safety.
