Paradise Valley leaders share concerns, priorities with District 4 legislators

Discussion focused on local control, pressing concerns

A recent visit to Paradise Valley on Jan. 27 from newly-elected District 4 Reps. Matt Gress, R-Phoenix, and Laura Terech, D-Scottsdale, provided the Town Council and other town staff the opportunity to share their priorities for the 2023 legislative session.

The Arizona legislative session began Jan. 9, bringing a new selection of lawmakers and various issues to be addressed including funding for education and abortion restrictions.

According to a report from the meeting, the town’s main focuses for the upcoming year are quality of life and public safety concerns for preserving neighborhoods, local financial stability and public safety in regard to traffic enforcement and smart technology.
