Paradise Valley leaders grateful to outgoing public safety foundation

The Paradise Valley Public Safety Foundation has shouldered many weighty expenses since it began from caring for the police department’s facility dog “Pepper” to providing meals for emergency service workers.

On Dec. 31, however, the Public Safety Foundation — incorporated on Dec. 14, 2018 — is set to dissolve operations and turn over remaining police department donations in efforts to start anew on how donations are accepted.

Following a resolution adopted at an October Paradise Valley Town Council meeting, the directive to dissolve included instituting a new donation policy for what was considered police department enhancements.
