Paradise Valley event draws on history, academia, arts to honor MLK

Event also honors community members

The 28th annual Martin Luther King Day celebration in Paradise Valley drew on history, academia and the arts to honor the civil rights giant at the town’s municipal complex Jan. 19.

PV Mayor Mark Stanton said the world is divisive and no one presents that level of insight more than King.

“I believe that upholding this tradition, honoring his memory, honoring his vision is a responsibility, but it is also a privilege,” he said.
