Paradise Valley council member’s newsletter called out for breach of privacy

Disagreement over privacy concerns recently ensued at the Paradise Valley Town Council dais after council member Julie Pace included personal information about a town staff member’s future plans for retirement in her emailed newsletter.

Paradise Valley Town Manager Jill Keimach announced her retirement to the public on Feb. 10, but council member Pace included the news in her Feb. 7 emailed newsletter, “Preserving Paradise Valley.” This has led to some controversy as to the information shared in that newsletter.

At the town council’s meeting on Feb. 9, council member Anna Thomasson called out Pace for what she believed to be crossing a personal line of sharing information about Keimach’s new residence following her retirement.
