The Paradise Valley Town Council has passed an ordinance prohibiting urban camping but made sure there is a provision to help those in need.
The council unanimously approved the ordinance during its Dec. 12 meeting.
“This is just one component of the items that we use to try and give our police officers the kind of tools that are necessary to address situations as they occur,” Town Attorney Andrew McGuire told council members. “We’ve been very fortunate in this community to not have this as an issue, so we are ahead of the game and hopefully we never have a game.”
