Palo Verde churning out constant energy no easy feat

The stewards at Palo Verde Generating Station have a sizable responsibility.
The nuclear power plant — the largest energy producer in the nation — must be maintained and kept humming in order to generate electricity used to power homes and businesses in Arizona, New Mexico, California and El Paso.

Palo Verde sits on more than 4,000 acres in an isolated area in Tonapah — not far from Interstate 10.
