Palms trees get a fresh cut in Sun City West

MCDOT started work Oct. 3

The contract to maintain the palms trees located in the medians in Sun City West just needs one additional signature.

Bill Schwind, Recreation Centers of Sun City West general manager, said there has been an on-going agreement and dated contract in place with the Maricopa County Department of Transportation. The contract was reviewed by association officials and signed and now MCDOT has the contract and awaiting signature.

There are 462 palm trees both the MCDOT and the rec centers are responsible for. MCDOT covers even years and the rec centers covers odd years and this agreement does not include golf courses.
