Tempe is celebrating International Friendship Month on Friday with children ages 1-5 invited to play and participate in art projects.
The first Free Art Friday of 2023 will be 9 a.m. until noon Feb. 10 at the Edna Arts Center courtyard, 3340 S. Rural Road in Tempe.
Parents and children “will explore through sensory play, music, movement and themed art projects ideal for kids ages 1-5,” event organizers said in a release. Pajamas are encouraged, they said.
No registration is required, and light refreshments will be provided.
Activities: Clay Gingerbread Friend, Friendship Bracelet, Friendly Monster Under the Bed, Sensory Road Trip Painting, face painting and a sensory play area.
Live music by Haley Green and a music and movement activity with Emily Bruso of Natural Notes will be part of the program.
