Overnight work in Old Town will shut down some Scottsdale streets

Posted

City crews will apply a micro seal paving treatment in sections of Old Town Scottsdale as part of its pavement preservation program.

Work will take place overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. April 7-9, on Marshall Way (Indian School Road to 3rd Avenue) and 6th Avenue (Scottsdale Road to Stetson Drive). These areas will be closed during construction.

Area businesses are asked to inform employees, customers and vendors about the closures.

Micro seal treatments help extend the life of asphalt streets and reduces maintenance costs. The city’s proactive Pavement Preservation program also includes street sweeping and ADA ramp construction. Work is funded by Scottsdale’s 0.20% Transportation Sales Tax.

For more information, call the project hotline at 623-582-1919.
