Overnight westbound I-10 lane restrictions start Dec. 8

Drivers should plan for westbound Interstate 10 to be narrowed to two lanes between 32nd Street/University Drive and 16th Street (near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport) beginning Sunday night, state transportation officials said.

Pavement maintenance will take place overnight Sunday through Thursday on the following dates: 

• 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13.

• 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, to 5 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20.

• 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24.

• 9 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31.

There will be no restrictions the nights of Dec. 24-26, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
