A man died at a hospital after being shot early Sunday morning in central Phoenix.

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a Sunday shooting that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man.
Officers responded about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 10 to 15th and Highland avenues where they found Robert Schaezlein inside an apartment with at least one gunshot wound, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
Schaezlein was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he did not survive.

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a Sunday shooting that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man.
Officers responded about 2:30 a.m. Aug. 10 to 15th and Highland avenues where they found Robert Schaezlein inside an apartment with at least one gunshot wound, according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
Schaezlein was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he did not survive.
A woman was detained at the scene and admitted to being involved in the shooting, police said.
Homicide detectives responded and, after being interviewed, the woman was released pending additional investigation, police said, adding details related to the shooting remain part of an ongoing investigation.
