Weather cooling off after long hot spell

Thursday’s meager rainfall total at Sky Harbor International Airport won’t break any records.

But overnight lows should cool off a bit over the weekend and into early next week, said Ryan Worley, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

Low temps are projected to be in the low- to mid-80s Saturday through at least Tuesday, Worley said.
