Phoenix detectives are investigating an overnight collision near 5th Avenue and the eastbound Maricopa Freeway access road that that left a pedestrian dead.
The man, who has not been identified, was found with serious injuries about 11:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and taken to a hospital where he died.
The driver, who was traveling east on the access road, remained at the scene, and impairment is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
