Over 10 years in Peoria, violent crime rises while property crime falls

More recently, 2022 saw violent crime fall within the city

Over the last decade or so in Peoria, violent crime has steadily gone up, while property crime has steadily gone down, according to FBI crime statistics.

However, the last year saw a drop in violent crime from the previous year.

Violent crime, which includes murder, aggravated assault, robbery and sexual assault, is down from 501 incidences in 2021 to 393 in 2022, or about 22%, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
