Organized retail theft of golf clubs leads to 6-year sentence

A 32-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty in an organized retail theft of golf clubs, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said Thursday in a release.

Connor Burgess pled guilty to three counts of organized retail theft.

Between October and November 2025, Burgess committed a series of retail thefts targeting sporting goods retailers across the valley, resulting in more than $26,000 in losses, according to the release.
