One year later: Scottsdale neighborhood still at odds over Sissoo tree removal

DC Ranch Association removes some trees; resident seeks ‘thoughtful’ process

One year after the DC Ranch Association sought to remove 670 trees from the Arcadia at Silverleaf neighborhood, the issue has not gone away.

Over the past 12 months, DC Ranch Association and the city have worked together to address environmental concerns among other aspects. The association has, in recent months, begun removing several of the alleged problematic Sissoo trees, and new trees are expected to be planted this month.

Most recently, however, a lawsuit was filed against the association in Maricopa County Superior Court.
