Merchantile Sidewalk Celebration set Oct. 8–9

It’s a small business of small businesses. The Merchantile gained Valley love by giving hundreds of small business owners space and a voice to share their work with the community. Now, they are expanding to a second boutique location in Uptown Phoenix.

On Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9, guests can stop by the Merchantile of Phoenix for a Sidewalk Celebration kicking off at 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can shop from local creators, artists, designers, vintage curators and more. Plus, the first 50 people in line each day will score an exclusive Merchantile of Phoenix gift bag, according to a press release.

The Sidewalk Celebration will be an all-out affair, equipped with live music, giveaways, meet-and-greets with the vendors and a chance to peruse some of the Valley’s local creations.

Located at 7th Street and Missouri, the Merchantile of Phoenix is its biggest boutique location yet, and will carry some of the Merchantile’s fan-favorite vendors like Uptown Hippie, Painted Ladies and Iconic Arizona, along with new artisans like Old Town Gypsie.

“We’re so excited to open our doors to the Phoenix community,” Merchantile Market’s founder, Kimberly Pak, said in the release. “Each of our vendors bring such a unique and talented perspective to the Valley that we love celebrating, and we can’t wait to share even more at our new location.”

From the creators of The Merchantile of Scottsdale, this is the Merchantile’s second brick-and-mortar location and third foray into the artisan market scene following the outdoor Merchantile Market in Tempe which brought in over 300 shoppers at each of their ten-market series.
