A 42-year-old man was shot and killed, and a second unidentified man was injured early Wednesday in a residence in west Phoenix according to a news release from the Phoenix Police Department on Thursday.
According to the release, about 5:45 a.m. Sept. 8, Phoenix Police responded to a reported shooting at a residence in the area of 4200 North 79th Lane.
Officers arrived and found two men who had sustained gunshot wounds. Phoenix Fire personnel also responded and pronounced one of the men dead on scene, and was later identified as Jesus Ivan Buitimea Valencia. The other victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
