Progress on the Loop 202 improvement project in the East Valley moves along this week with some changes, state transportation officials said.
And now it's time for one of the ramp closures many area drivers have likely dreading the most.
The eastbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Arizona Avenue in Chandler will close for about 60 days starting at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9.
The ramp is scheduled to reopen by mid-December.
Drivers can consider exiting eastbound Loop 202 at Alma School or McQueen roads, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The westbound Loop 202 off-ramp at Price Road was reopened to traffic early Tuesday, Oct. 7, following a two-month closure for reconstruction.
