Oliver: Empathy needed for disabled son in Sun City

Posted

I am amazed at the lack of empathy towards the mother and her adult disabled son being able to live in Sun City.

One household out of over 20,000. Where is the compassion that our community is supposed to be known for?

How about we ask ourselves what if one of us got into this situation and needed help? This attitude makes me wonder if one of them is my neighbor and I needed help or a dispensation of the rules.

One last thought: How many rent in Sun City who are under the age of 55? Recently my next door neighbor had her niece and baby living with her. No one even knew they were there. No problem.
