The effort to market Old Town Scottsdale with city staff is already underway, much to the chagrin of three city council members.
City Councilwoman Solange Whitehead put on the council’s Jan. 13 meeting an agenda item to bring back for consideration a contract with the Scottsdale-based James Agency to market Old Town.
However, Councilwoman Jan Dubauskas pointed out at the meeting that city staff have already posted their first ad promoting Old Town on Facebook that same day as part of an effort to bring Old Town marketing efforts in house.
