Old Town church eyes building apartments on site

The Scottsdale United Methodist Church in Old Town has its sights set on building 82 workforce apartments on its property to help boost a flagging congregation.

The church has submitted an application to the city to build the two, three-story buildings along the eastern boundary of its 4.8-acre property located at 4140 N. Miller Road.
The application calls for a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units.
