Homeowners associations in Sun City West are looking after the community in a slightly different way during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Organizations of HOAs in Sun City West conducted a virtual Zoom meeting Nov. 6. Chairman Rodger DeBritz shared with the group of 26 taking part the importance of getting involved as an HOA and taking part in the leadership academies offered, to better serve the community. Treasurer Gail Olsen shared the list of upcoming topics, including the ABCs of HOAs, board member roles and responsibilities, conducting proper HOA meetings, effective collection of delinquent fees and dealing with difficult people.
“I’ve been attending workshops and it provides a different perspective and the various presenters give you different ideas,” Mr. DeBritz said.
