Officials: Be safe using fireworks while ringing in 2023

In Arizona, state law mandates the use and sale of consumer fireworks.

So the city of Peoria is reminding residents that fireworks can be dangerous and can cause harm to people and pets, and damage to property and open space.

Consumer fireworks may be sold from Dec. 10 through Jan. 3. However, legal consumer fireworks may only be used from Dec. 24 through Jan. 3.
