An unidentified man, who police said was armed with a knife, died following a June 26 officer-involved shooting in the 3500 block of West Greenway Road.
Police responded about 11 p.m. Friday after receiving a call that there was a fight in a home and that a man had a knife.
Officers contacted a woman who was involved in the incident in front of the home and “while speaking with her, an adult male appeared at the front of the house holding a knife and began chasing a second adult male, who was standing in the driveway,” according to a Phoenix Police Department release.
