While eyes were focused on the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles over the weekend, the Off The Field NFL Wives Association was raising money for a good cause over in Scottsdale.

A charity fashion show was held at Scottsdale Fashion Square on Feb. 10, raising funds for the Caris Sports Foundation — a nonprofit organization whose mission is to give youth the opportunity to participate in organized sports by removing financial obstacles.

This year, the Off The Field NFL Wives Association celebrated 22 years of impact with the fashion show that showcased the women who empower the men of the NFL and amplify a message of sisterhood and community. The NFL Wives Association is comprised of the wives and significant others of active and retired NFL players. The group was formed in 2006.

In addition to raising funds for the Caris Sports Foundation, the NFL Wives fashion show honored five women with awards:

•  Kimberly J. MC Waters, president & CEO of Fresh Start Women’s Foundation;
•  Nicole Bidwill, vice president for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club;
•  Kimberly A. Post, executive vice president, chief operations office for HonorHealth;
•  Lacey Leonard, founder and CEO at Tackle Health;
•  Teri P. Smith, the National Football League Players Association chief operating officer.

Scottsdale Mayor David Ortega was in attendance for the sold-out fashion show, along with NFL notables: Tim Brown, Steve Young, Tony Dorsett, James Lofton, Bryant Young, Orlando Pace, Darrell Green, Charles Woodson, Hakeem Adeniji, Kwamie Lassiter II, Devin Funchess, Devon Kennard, Tee Higgins, Trey Lance, Adam Archuleta, Brian Mitchell, and Donovan McNabb.
