Nurse: Help Valleywise provide essential medical training

Posted

Where does the clinical experience in our doctors and nurses stem from? For decades, Valleywise Health has served as Maricopa County’s public teaching health system. Valleywise is the primary training ground for every generation of medical professionals who serve the Phoenix community.

As a labor and delivery nurse, I have experienced firsthand how essential this training is. Not just for health care providers, but for the families depending on us during life’s most critical and vulnerable moments.

Whether receiving care at a different hospital, it is likely many of the doctors and nurses following your plan of care received comprehensive training at Valleywise. The compassion, skill and quality of care seen in every hospital and neighborhood is directly linked to the strength of our region’s premier teaching hospital.

Proposition 409 is a strategic investment in this vital educational mission. By voting yes, we will upgrade and expand the training environments where tomorrow’s healers learn their craft.

The bond will rebuild community health centers and enhance physician training programs, ensuring Maricopa County remains a hub for top medical talent.

Investing in Valleywise is an investment that pays dividends across our entire health care system.

It will attract and retain the most exceptional medical professionals, strengthen our workforce and will ensure all our families have access to high-quality care for generations to come.

As someone who has spent my career caring for others, I urge you, vote yes on 409 to secure a healthier future for all of us.
