Number of new COVID-19 cases in Goodyear drops substantially

The number of new weekly COVID-19 cases in Goodyear dropped by more than half the number reported last week, according to data from the Arizona Department of Health Services.

ADHS reported the number of COVID-19 cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes was 10,607 as of Friday, Feb. 19, a 1.50% increase over last Friday and a 0.60% increase over Thursday. That represents an increase of 157 new cases over the week and 64 cases overnight.

The number of new cases last week was 436, which was up from 296 cases reported the week ending Feb. 5.
