In response to Mr. Kampert’s Aug. 26 letter: Mr. Kampert is right about one thing; he is older than me.

But wisdom does not come with age.

Because Nazis called themselves the National Socialist Party doesn’t mean they were socialist, they were fascists. East Germany [under the Soviets] was called the German Democratic Republic.

There was nothing democratic about them, they were communists.

Hitler took power by destroying the institutions of the German Republic. He took power by installing his own people in the institutions that were trying to protect the German Republic from somebody like Hitler.

Hitler hated unions, gays, immigrants and other religions, which are similarities to Trumpism. The Proud Boys, Oath Keepers, Patriot Front and Three Percenters are Christian white nationalist militias that support the dear leader, Donald Trump. Joe Biden does not have militias throughout the country.

IRS offices are getting threats, the FBI is getting threats and our election officials are getting threats, all coming from the Big Lie and alt-right conspiracy groups, who are supporters of the Trump party. Mr. Kampert will not accept that his dear leader lost the election. Donald Trump is a corrupt narcissistic and morally flawed individual. I never thought I would live to see the day when a political party would stand against democracy as Trump’s party does today.

The hiring of additional IRS employees will be instituted over a 10-year period. There will be many retirements in that 10-year period and additionally they are currently understaffed. They’re not going after the little guy who gets his taxes deducted from his paycheck. Don’t be a tax cheat. There is absolutely no recruiting ad asking agents to be armed and ready to kill. That’s propaganda and conspiracy from today’s Trumpian Party, the same playbook Adolf Hitler used.

Donald Trump should not have taken government classified documents to his residence in Florida. He was warned he couldn’t take them. He was subpoenaed to return those documents and he didn’t; because, like Adolf Hitler, he thought he was the supreme leader who could do as he wanted.

The FBI and the Justice Department had to get a warrant to get them back. Classified documents belong to the United States government, not Donald Trump. Once again, I will stand with the men and women fighting for this country against enemies foreign and domestic over the dear leader, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump sided with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki over the men and women in our intelligence services. He attacked Gold Star families. He attacked John McCain, the Republican senator of the great state of Arizona, who served this country bravely. Donald Trump said his Vietnam was avoiding STDs in the United States. What a nice guy, right Tom?

President Biden is a decent human being. You can disagree with his policies, but he’s not trying to overthrow this country. I think Social Security, Medicare, public education, public roads, and public infrastructure are great socialist programs that have served the United States well.
