Elections 2024

Nov. 5 election canceled for Superstition Fire and Medical District, other boards

Allowed by state law when number of candidates equals or is less than the open positions

Canceling the Nov. 5 elections for various school and special taxing districts where the number of candidates equals or is fewer than the number of positions — including the Superstition Fire and Medical District, Pinal County Community College District (Central Arizona College) and Queen Valley Fire District — and appointing all was approved recently by the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

The board voted unanimously Sept. 4 on a consent agenda with other items to approve a resolution.

State law allows the supervisors to cancel certain elections for school and special taxing districts.
