Notre Dame Prep student to play baseball in Iowa

Ian Clay from Notre Dame Prep will compete for the Central College baseball team in Pella, Iowa this spring.
Coach Casey Klunder enters his second season with the Dutch following a 16-23 debut season. The team was 4-20 in American Rivers Conference games. Klunder awarded 22 varsity letters, including first baseman and starting pitcher Declan O’Hare senior from Los Angeles, Calif. and right fielder Colton DeRocher from Sioux City, Iowa who were both named to all-region teams in the postseason.
The Dutch open the season Feb. 25 in Clarion, Iowa against the University of Wisconsin-Superior at 12 p.m. The doubleheader will be played at Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School.
