Petitions continue to circulate throughout the Northwest Valley as residents try to derail the BNSF Railway plans to build a hub conglomeration in Wittmann.
BNSF Railway efforts to ground its Logistics Park Phoenix Arizona project on 4,320 acres of rural land around Wittmann and surrounding areas is described as a state-of-the-art freight rail facility, touted as a fully-integrated intermodal terminal, logistics park, and distribution hub to move goods “faster and smarter.”
Noted as an “engine of opportunity,” with “supercharging supply chains to keep Arizona thriving,” according to the company’s advertisement of what it noted as a $3.2 billion investment, more than 76,000 jobs are anticipated to help “long-term economic prosperity.”
