Northwest Valley Connect gets new executive director

Agency provides help with transit

Brian Bell is the new executive director of Northwest Valley connect.

The nonprofit organization for nine years served an increasing number of Seniors 65 years and older, those with disabilities and veterans with a higher level of transit mobility. NVC’s services are provided almost exclusively by volunteers.

Bell, a Glendale resident, has a variety of business experience, including strategic development and business management. He also served in the U.S. military. He and his wife have a core commitment that extends into various service pathways over the years. One specific organization is Joni and Friends, an International disability center that provides outreach to thousands of families impacted by disabilities around the world. During COVID-19, an Arizona team vested funds and time that created a respite program for caretakers of those with disabilities while tripling the program’s capacity. The demonstration task force developed a model for the International Disability Center that is in effect today.
