‘North Pole’ in Surprise provides Christmas for families

Shopping for gifts provides normalcy for Eve’s Place clients

The basement of a bank branch in Surprise seems like a most unlikely place to find the North Pole.

But since 2014, one has transformed into a wonderland for Arizona families in crisis.

That was the year Jenniffer Powell and Teresa Mariano began to raise funds and gift donations to support individuals and families served by Eve’s Place, which aids victims of domestic, sexual and teen dating abuse.
