Nominations are open for the 10th Annual Mayor’s Arts Awards.
The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, at Hance Park Urban Plaza, 67 W. Culver St., Phoenix. City of Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and the Phoenix Center for the Arts will recognize the important impact Phoenix artists make in the community.
Nominations may be submitted by members of the community or by the artists themselves. Winners are chosen by a judging panel of community leaders using the criteria of innovation, impact and integration.
Call for artist nominations open through 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, and submission criteria is available online at phoenixcenterforthearts.org/maa. Nominees must be a Phoenix resident, over 18 years old, and must submit three philanthropic projects (articles, website references, volunteering photos, etc.).
Winners will be chosen based on the criteria of innovation, impact and integration.
