Noise levels drive the type of development allowed around Mesa’s airports

Airports and airplanes can be very loud.

And that noise affects homebuilding near Mesa airports.

Mesa Gateway Airport is near quite a few residential properties as well as the ASU Polytechnic Campus. Falcon Field Airport is near housing and commercial developments. For developers aiming to build properties near airports, the process is a bit different from the standard routine, city officials said.
