Valley music festival has a new Friday night headliner

With Sean Kingston sidelined by legal issues, the Maricopa-based festival announced his replacement

Sean Kingston’s legal issues opened up a headliner spot and the Wild West Music Fest has a new lineup.

The Marciopa-based festival, which kicks off Friday, announced Tuesday that 2000s hip-hop and R&B rapper Baby Bash will open the three-day event with a set the first night. Special guest Twista will open the show at 8 p.m. followed by Baby Bash.

Ronnie “Baby Bash” Bryant put two singles – “Suga Suga” and “Cyclone” – into the Billboard Top 10 from 2003 through 2007. Emerging from the Bay Area in 1994, his debut album, “Savage Dreams,” was released in 2001.
