Protest

'No Kings' North Glendale turnout reflects growing movement

Saturday morning, a couple hundred people gathered to protest and to realize that they are part of a growing blue — or at least purple — tide in the typically ruby red West Valley.

“No Kings” North Glendale, specifically on Flag Day as a protest against the polices of President Donald Trump, attracted about 400 people to all four corners of Happy Valley Road and 67th Avenue.

Technically the west side of 67th is Peoria and the east side is Phoenix — with Glendale’s northern boundary a bit south of there. But the protesters came from all over the area, where they often felt outnumbered during the 2024 election.
