No flight delays were reported at Sky Harbor International Airport Wednesday despite reports of long passenger lines inside the Phoenix airport due to an air-conditioning outage, according to Greg Roybal, a Sky Harbor spokesman.
"This was planned maintenance in Terminal 4 involving work on the air conditioning system overnight," Roybal said. " The maintenance was completed at about 5 a.m. (Wednesday) and the system is back to full operation for affected public areas. No flight delays have been reported."
On Wednesday, the high temperature in Phoenix was forcasted for 117 degrees, according to Katherine Berislavich, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

The high temperature was 116 degrees by about 2 p.m. — which ties a record high set in 2024, Berislavich said.
The Valley is currently in an extreme heat warning which is in effect until Thursday, she said.
