No Arizona freeway closures over Memorial Day weekend

(ADOT)

Drivers heading out on Arizona road trips over Memorial Day weekend will not face any full highway construction closures, state transportation officials said Wednesday.

But there may be heavier traffic on freeways, particularly at peak travel time on Friday, May 22, and Monday, May 25, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Motorists also should be prepared for unscheduled highway closures due to crashes, disabled vehicles or other incidents such as wildfires, ADOT officials said.
