Drivers will face restrictions in the Broadway Curve construction area for the rest of the work week, transportation officials said.
The southbound SR 143 on-ramp at University Drive will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday morning for concrete work, and drivers should use the east- and westbound I-10 on-ramps at 32nd Street instead, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
Eastbound I-10 will be narrowed to three lanes at Guadalupe Road from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. through Thursday morning for bridge work.
Bridge work also will close Guadalupe Road, including the bridge over I-10, in both directions between Pointe Parkway and Calle Sahuaro from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday.
The bridge will be closed to motorists, pedestrians and cyclists. Pedestrians and cyclists can use Avenida del Yaqui as a detour, ADOT officials said.
Detours:
Westbound. Use southbound Kyrene Road to westbound Elliot Road to northbound 48th Street/Pointe Parkway to access Guadalupe Road west of the closure.
Eastbound. Use southbound 48th Street/Pointe Parkway to eastbound Elliot Road to northbound Kyrene Road to access Guadalupe Road east of the closure.
ADOT officials also said the westbound I-10 ramp to northbound SR 143 will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday for fencing work.
For a northbound SR 143 detour, ADOT recommends using westbound I-10 to eastbound Loop 202 to access SR 143.
Airport access: Drivers should use westbound I-10 to 24th Street or Buckeye Road to access the airport.
