NFL program to feed Arizona kids starts in Glendale

‘Mission 57’ kicks off this week, leads up to Super Bowl

The road to helping Arizona students battle hunger starts in Glendale.

GENYOUth, a nonprofit founded by America’s dairy farmers and the NFL to raise money for youth wellness initiatives, on Thursday kicked off its statewide “Mission 57: End Student Hunger” in Glendale, home of Super Bowl 57 next February. Glendale Elementary School District was the site for the promotional stop, which included a look at the “Grab and Go” meal equipment packages to increase access to and participation in school meal programs.

Eventually the mission will provide the packages to 57 schools statewide in the coming months, and will increase access to more than 8.5 million school meals for over 31,000 Arizona students each school year.
