New year brings new roles to Scottsdale Unified board

The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board jumped into the new year at its first meeting of 2023, welcoming its new members and reassigning certain roles.

At the Jan. 5 special meeting, SUSD’s governing board met to assign new roles such as board president and vice president. Each year, the board votes in January to reassign these two positions.

Other board positions decided upon were the delegate for the Arizona School Board Association, two members for the Joint Advisory Committee on Education and an Audit Committee member.
