New weekly COVID-19 cases in Goodyear drop after uptick last week

The Arizona Department of Health Services reported the number of COVID-19 cases in Goodyear’s 85338 and 85395 ZIP codes was 10,897 as of Friday, March 5, a 0.93% increase over last Friday.

That represents an increase of 100 new cases over the week, which was down 90 cases from Feb. 26, when 190 new cases were reported.

The agency said more than 90% of cases were mapped to the address of the patient’s residence:
