New Tempe City Councilmembers sworn in

2 new members, 1 returning to council

The newest members of the Tempe City Council were officially sworn in on July 1 during a ceremony held in Council Chambers.

Newcomers Arlene Chin (who served on the council in an interim role in 2019) and Berdetta Hodge have officially joined the council while incumbent Councilmember Jennifer Adams returned to her seat following re-election. Each will serve a four-year term.

Longtime Councilmembers Lauren Kuby and Robin Arredondo-Savage participated in their last city council meeting on June 23. Chin and Hodge will now take their places on the dais at Tempe City Hall.
