One new Maricopa County supervisor wants an audit of the current election system while another fresh face on the board called for more innovation within county walls.
On Monday, three new Maricopa County supervisors and two current board members were sworn in with former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and new Maricopa County Sheriff Jerry Sheridan in attendance at the Board of Supervisors Auditorium in Phoenix.
In all, Debbie Lesko, who represents District 4 that includes much of the northwest Valley, Mark Stewart, who represents District 1 that includes the southeast Valley and Kate Brophy McGee who represents District 3 primarily in northcentral Phoenix — were all new supervisors sworn in. Current supervisors Thomas Galvin, now chairman of the board and Steve Gallardo also were sworn in on Monday.
