New principal appointed to Centennial High School

Schoolcraft steps in amid ongoing investigation of sex scandal

A new principal has been appointed to Centennial High School after former principal Scott Hollabaugh resigned May 22 amid alleged sexual misconduct by teachers formerly employed at Centennial.

Peoria Unified School District governing board has appointed Darien Schoolcraft, the former assistant principal and athletics director at the school, to the lead role.

The vote was divided 3-2, with board members Heather Rooks and Janelle Bowles dissenting.
