New photography, interactive artwork invigorates SMoCA

Prominent photographer Christina Fernandez showcased

New exhibitions opened this month at Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

The new exhibitions include an extensive series by photographer Christina Fernandez, an interactive light installation by Roelof Knol and digital projection by Kenaim Al-Shatti.

“Every time you come to the museum, it looks completely different, which makes it really fun. The artwork kind of dictates what the space looks like,” said Jennifer McCabe, director and chief curator at SMoCA.
